Comedy of Errors
The Cockpit Theatre
'I to the world am like a drop of water
That in the ocean seeks another drop'
Warhorse's Comedy of Errors was a fast and furious re imagining of Shakespeares text following Antipholus's quest for his long-lost twin brother in Ephesus, a place where foreigners are strung up by the neck whilst the town dances on.
Setting this dark and dangerous world of Ephesus in a 1950's style seaside location incorporating clowning, songs, dances and even a punch and judy show Warhorse provided an experience that appealed to audiences of all ages and even Shakespeare scholars gave their seal of approval.

Re-imagine the Streets
Regents Park
Our audience joined Warhorses Pirate Troupe on the banks of the River Thames to follow the Treasure trail and unearth the tales of the past of life along the hidden Fleet River
On 9th August, join Warhorse Theatreworks and assorted sea-dogs as we mount expeditions along the dark arteries of Londons past, recovering tarnished treasures buried beneath the Citys streets. Wearing an eye patch and going yarrr makes you feel like a pirate, but real pirates also have adventures.
Were all headed for Treasure Island: a pirate village thats sprung up, as if by magic, on the banks of the Regents Park boating lake. Weve moored two mighty vessels there: the Queen Bee with its precious cargo full of books containing the worlds knowledge; and the Sea Hawk, with a viewing platform from which you can see London anew. Whos with us, ye landlubbers?
Trees, Birds & Bees
Trees, Birds and Bees was a celebration of love on a bright warm summers day in Regents Park. In collaboration with the Beekeepers and the Tree House Galleries Warhorse Theatreworks surprised and delighted the general public with this unique event.
Warhorses troupe of performers and artists encouraged passers by to embrace the occassion alongside their families and loved ones. They could write poems and love letters to hang on the web of love, stop and listen to Shakespeare recite a sonnet or Casanova reveiling an encounter from his diary, visit lady love to seek advice on matters of the heart or share their most romantic moments when interviewed by the 'Love Spotters'. The grand finale came when chaucers parliament of fowls arrived
"Welcome, summer, with sunshine soft,
The winter's tempest you will break,
And drive away the long nights black!
Saint Valentine, throned aloft,
Thus little birds sing for your sake:
Welcome, summer, with sunshine soft,
The winter's tempest you will shake!
Good cause have they to glad them oft,
His own true-love each bird will take;
Blithe may they sing when they awake,
And drive away the long nights black!"
